Celebration was the name of the game for the Sarsfields club on Sunday October 18th as our plush new facilities in Pairc Charman were officially opened by G.A.A. President, Christy Cooney and by long-standing member and Irish Olympic boxing coach, Billy Walsh.

Congratulations to the Seniors who enjoyed a gritty win after extra-time over Starlights in the 'B' championship final in St. Patrick's Park on Saturday last. David Gannon accepted the Billy Keilthy Cup which will be proudly displayed at the opening on Sunday week.

Our under 10's will play St. Anne's in the semi-final of the Brendan Redmond tournament on Sunday next @ 11:30am. Our second team will play Kilmore for a place in the final of the Centenary Shield @ 10:30am

Sunday last was a great occasion for the club as the 1984 squad were guests of honour at the county final and received silver jubilee awards. Beforehand they re-united in the new clubhouse in Páirc Charman, and the good old days were fondly recalled.
