Juveniles lose out in County semi-final
Following a play-off victory over Starlights on
Wednesday evening our Juvenile team qualified to meet
Shelmaliers in the County semi-final the following
Sunday morning. Unfortunately, poor refereeing
decisions, culminating in the unwarrented sending off of
Mark Browne midway through the first half, meant that
this hurdle became too great to overcome and the team
were well beaten by their District rivals in the end.
Despite the numerical disadvantage the players tried
thier best to the very end with Warren Broaders and Lee
Murphy, who scored a great consolation goal near the
end, leading by example. |
