Juniors draw again in Championship
A last minute point by Adamstown denied our Junior team
victory in the winners section of the Junior 'A'
championship in Taghmon last Sunday. Having lead by 3
points at half time, we only managed to score a single
point in the second half despite a lot of pressure on
our Ross district rivals.
Having trailed by 5 points after 10 minutes following
the concession of a soft goal, the team upped their
performance considerably, scoring 3 goals in 4 minutes
and a further 2 points were added before half-time. Some
poor finishing from both frees and general play meant
that we only managed one score in the second period but
the Adamstown men also shot some poor wides and a draw
was probably a fair result. The replay will be in
Taghmon @ 6pm on Sunday 28th August
