Sarsfields 5-7, Glynn/Barntown 7-7:
Despite conceding 3 goals in the first 10 minutes of the
game, our U10 footballers put in a tremendous effort to
level the game before going down to Glynn/Barntown by 2
goals in a thrilling Kent league match in Pairc Charman last
night.
The concession of these early scores was a big blow to our
youngest players, but they showed typical Sarsfields
fighting spirit to claw themselves back into the game.
Unfortunately, this effort told on them in the end as they
tired towards the end of the match allowing Glynn/Barntown
to add on the critical winning scores.
Coach Ian Donohue can be extremely proud of this group of
youngsters who face their next match away to Shelmaliers on
Friday @ 7:30pm.
Also present in the field last night were some of our U8
players (see below) who before too long will be representing
the club on the fields of Wexford.
