Our Juveniles suffered their second defeat in the
championship when they were beaten by a strong Ferns outfit
on Sunday morning last. Following their defeat to
Ballinastragh Gaels the previous weekend, we needed a boost
and although the result didn't go for us, the level of the
performance was much improved. The final score of 5-6 to 2-8
is very misleading as the Ferns boys got 2 late goals to
seal the game. With a months break before their next game
against Our Lady's Island /St. Fintan's, it gives the team a
chance to get some training under their belts and for a
number of injured players to recover. With 4 teams to
qualify for the semi-finals it is still well within the
grasp of this team to make the knockout stages.
