Both our adult teams were in action last weekend with the Seniors facing an away trip to Horeswood on Saturday while the Juniors faceSt. Anne's in Rathangan on Sunday evening .

While the Seniors were short a number of players on the day, things still looked good for us midway through the second half when we led by 4 points playing with the wind and down the hill. However, two goal strikes from the men from Campile turned this game on its head and in the end we were comfortably beaten by 4 points, 0-9 to 2-7. This was a very disappointing performance and ends our chances of qualifying for a league semi-final. We must now concentrate on winning our next game at home to Kilanerin 'B' to avoid the threat of relegation.

The Junior team on the other hand produced one of the comebacks of the season to beat St. Anne's by a solitary point on Sunday. Trailing by 5 points with 4 minutes to go, we got a lifeline when big John Harrington soared above the defence to flick a long ball to the net. The comeback was complete with the last kick of the game when Liam Howlin blasted a shot to the net following a knock down from the big man to give us a 2-10 to 2-9 victory. With 2 wins from 3 outings this team goes into their next game against arch-rivals Volunteers knowing that a win will set up a final tie with St. Fintan's for a place in the league semi-final.
