Our final Bord na nÓg game of the 2004 season ended in
disappointment when our Minor team went down to a strong Oulart
The Ballagh team on a 1-10 to 0-6 scoreline at Piercestown.
The 11 week gap since our last game was evident in a lot of our
play and were it not from some great goalkeeping by Neil Howlin
and defending by Adam Doyle and Warren Broaders the scoreline
could have been much worse. Noel Walsh did cause a lot of problems
in the forward line, especially in the first half, but overall
our forwards were no match physically for their bigger and stronger
opponents.
It should be remembered that 10 of this team were members of
this year's Juvenile team so there is great hope for this group
of players moving forward.
