Our final game of the 2004 season ended on another sour note
when we were well beaten by HWH-Bunclody in the All-County Premier
'B' final in Bunclody on Saturday last. Again, we just didn't
perform to the level that we know this team is capable of and
were also weakened by injuries and unavailability of some key
players. However, that is not to take anything away from the Bunclody
men who were deserving winners on the day.
Team manager Liam Bent, thanked the players after the game for
their efforts during the past year and reminded them that we only
lost 2 games throughout the entire season and that there is every
reason to believe that this team can progress further and win
the Senior title in the next couple of years. Hopefully his words
were heeded and this group of players will bounce back and take
that extra step to championship glory.
