Great fightback by Juniors
The Junior team produced an amazing fightback in their
game against Monageer when coming back from nine points
down early in the second half to earn a credible draw
on a scoreline of 3-7 to 0-16.
Having played second fiddle for most of the first half
and the early part of the second this result looked extremely
unlikely when David Clancy and Ger Kelly had to retire
injured 10 minutes after the interval. However, at this
stage our lads really turned on the style with 3 goals
in the last 20 minutes and but for a penalty miss by John
Foley could have won the game. Their last league game
is on Friday 25th June at home to Rosslare before takimg
on Rathnure in the championship.
