Our Under 10 team that were our sole title winners
in 2003 were presented with their trophys at a presentation night
in the Riverbank Hotel on Friday last. Present on the night were
the vast majority of the team, their families and other members
of the club and committee.
The
lads were treated to a selection of sausages, chips, nuggets and
other delicacies while the adults had to be satisfied with sandwiches
and cups of tea before club secretary, Kevin Carty opened the most
important part of the nights proceedings. He began by welcoming
the attendance and congratulating the team before outlining the
developments that the club had planned for the year ahead; in particular
the development of an all-weather facility in Pairc Charman. The
main event of the evening then started with the presentation of
the trophys to the players by club president Sean Siggins. Hopefully
this group of players will see many more successes in the years
ahead.
